How well the group managed health and safety issues; ella
there weren't many health and safety concerns while we did our advert... although there may have been some minor ones such as tripping on something while moving and filming. to prevent that, i would probably just have to watch my step while i'm filming. we did have to ask permission to use the staff room so i guess that's safe. There were some health and safety issues in the staff room we filmed in as there was a kettle and sharp cornered tables, and some of the college staff came in occasionally, which meant they could have tripped on a tripod or spilled some hot water on us or the equipment. also the tripod we used was not that stable so it could have fallen and injured someone.
How well the group managed equipment; ella
we used a canon D600 camera to film our advert. It went well because the quality was great but the battery life was short so... we didn't get as many shots as we needed. we used a tripod to hold the camera still, but we ended up wanting to use more movement so we ditched the tripod for old fashioned hand filming. we used a dress, wig and makeup for ryan's costume, it looked good appart from the wig looked quite cheap... but we weren't prepared to spend large amounts of money on wig we would only use once so we just dealt with it. We used a staff room in our college as the setting because it would be obvious to our viewers that ryan was at a work place. The disapointing thing about the room was the dim lighting. we finally used final cut on a mac to edit our advert together... this went well, appart from it ended up being a whole minute long........... far to long for a TV ad. SOOOOO, i shall cut parts out to make it shorter.

How the group managed people; Ryan
As there was two people in our group it was easy to split the paperwork between us depending on strengths and weaknesses. There was a problem due to absences and it caused a problem with who was doing what and when as the communication was not 100% between us. It wasn't until the last week or so we got the paper work and filming sorted.
To sort out designated jobs when it came to filming was the easiest, we knew our strengths. Therefor i know i like to act so i will be in front of the camera, Ella on the other hand has a steady hold so she became camera operator. We both took it in turn directing, i chose the music because i have a knack of seeing what fits with what. Ella done majority of the editing as its something she has proved to enjoy and is good at.
How the group managed problems; Ryan
We unfortunately encounters a few problems in this task. Mainly due to absences we got caught behind on the pre production paper work. To over come this we attended the catch up sessions to rely on a little help from the tutors. Also helping each other was an option as it helped benefit on the time keeping and handing our project in on time. This is the only problem we really encountered, after ironing out theses creases everything else to run a lot smoother and to schedule.
How the group managed time; Ryan
The group managed time really well due to a lot of absences, most of these could not be avoided because of medical reasons.
We split tasks between us at the start of this assignment to help cut down on the time, and to help with the absences splitting the tasks meant that we know what we had to do to as an individual on the paper work and not take on the work of another which will put pressure on to others in the group.
With the results of absences, it meant that one person was further ahead in the work than the other. This came as a good thing in one way due to the fact that to help get all the work in on time we helped each other to reach the deadline.
Filming and editing, the time was well planned as we decided to film as early as possible one morning and then edit into early evening, this panned out really well as it got us up to speed pretty quickly in terms with the rest of the class.
